This course was filmed live in Norman, Oklahoma before many of the state’s sheriff’s and their deputies.

The course presents the historical background of the office of sheriff. Presentations explain the sheriff and peace officer’s role of protecting individual liberty with particular emphasis on free speech, due process, search and seizure. A firm understanding will not only serve the public but also help prevent unnecessary litigation against sheriff and staff.
